A very uplifing poem
The Loom of Time
Man's life is laid in the loom of time
To a pattern he does not see,
While the weavers work and the shuttles fly
Till the dawn of eternity.
Some shuttles are filled with silver threads
And some with threads of gold,
While often but the darker hues
Are all that they may hold.
But the weaver watches with skillful eye
Each shuttle fly to and fro,
And sees the pattern so deftly wrought
As the loom moves sure and slow.
God surely planned the pattern:
Each thread, the dark and fair,
Is chosen by His master skill
And placed in the web with care.
He only knows its beauty,
And guides the shuttles which hold
The threads so unattractive,
As well as the threads of gold.
Not till each loom is silent,
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God reveal the pattern
And explain the reason why
The dark threads were as needful
In the weaver's skilful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
For the pattern which He planned.

The true spirit of Christmas
Before we know it, X-factor has finished on television, and Christmas is now only days away. I spent just over a week working at the Belfast Spiritualist Church in Malone Avenue in early December, which is a lovely church and if you are over in Belfast is a definite to visit .
Probably, like everyone else, I managed to tune into the X-factor and also the Susan Boyle story on television and to me Susan's story sums up in a modern way, the true value of christmas. Her story is very much one of the person that did 'dream the dream' and although it took many years, she now entertains everyone with her singing .
Susan shows that special innocence that a lot of us have lost somewhere in life, and to see and share in her life story can bring back that true meaning of christmas, where we see a person for the special qualities they have and share.
Next year is a busy one again and Full Moon Investigations, our Paranormal team grows from strength to strength, We are already working on our events for Ghostfest 2010 with a very new exciting , and never investigated before location in the Heart of Edinburgh's old city. Paranormal Warfare and all that ......
This year is probably the busiest I have ever had . Our group , Full Moon Investigations took part in Edinburgh's Mary King's Ghostfest and along with the other partners involved, we received excellent feedback and hopefully all those involved enjoyed themselves. It is so refreshing to see proper paranormal investigation groups using up to date equipment and approaching the subject of the paranormal in a balanced and professional way. I remember the days of paranormal investigating which really consisted of a camera , notebook and the compulsory EMF meter and that was it. Thankfully, these days are now gone.
Both skeptics and believers are probably always going to camp out in their own trenches for that game of paranormal warfare, but perhaps the professional teams that are around can come together in no mans land and at least kick some ideas about.
I truly believe we need the skeptics and the believers alike and this is why so many Paranormal teams have both a medium and the purely investigative side. There are many teams who do not use mediums and many that do, there is no right nor wrong, but if we do bring both together then we can at least challenge each other in a professional way and surely that is what it is all about in advancing the field of paranormal investigating.
If you are looking to join a Paranormal Team, either as an investigator or medium etc, it is worth asking around for one that is recommended. I have had a number of emails recently from people up and down the country asking if we know of ones that they could get involved in.
We do have a list of recommended ones on our links page at www.fullmooninvestigations.co.uk and will feature various groups in our new online magazine being published in June 2009 at that site.
Ideally, you should ask if you can go to one of their investigations, or speak to some of the members. You need to feel comfortable in the group . We know of so many groups that are terretorial and where internal politics and fallouts strike constantly , so make sure that this not something that happens.
Remember, paranormal investigating is a serious subject but one that can be exciting .

What is Dying?

till she fades on the horizon,
and someone at my side says,
"She is gone."
Gone where?
Gone from my sight, that is all.
She is just as large as when I saw her...
The diminished size and total loss of sight
is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
"She is gone,"
there are others who are watching her coming,
and other voices take up a glad shout,
"Here she comes!"
... and that is dying.

Many people ask me about "Development Circles" and "Awareness Circles".
The Awareness Circle heightens the Psychic Ability and Spiritual ability that we have. We become aware of a higher sensitivity and of the spiritual connection or cord.
This is usually the first step in the development of our mediumship ability. The next step is often the Development Circle which allows the link with the Spirit side of life to develop.
Both types of circle are led by an experienced teacher and allows the development to take place in a safe and loving environment.

If you go along to a spiritualist church, ask about the awareness groups they may run and any workshops that they may do from time to time. You will find that almost every medium is also very happy to answer any questions you may have with regard to Development.
